The Fourth of July | 2020

Our traditional 4th of July Celebration is going to be a bit different this year. We may be practicing social distancing, but we want you to be involved. We’re going to celebrate with a car parade, and we’re asking you to help create it!

Here’s how you can participate: Purchase a 4th of July sign (the back of the sign will say “Thank You, Heroes”) and decorate the blank side. Then, return your sign to the labeled box at Borough Hall and we will display the signs throughout the Municipal Complex on the 4th of July. From 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on July 4, cars will parade through the route led by fire trucks and police cars, continuing our tradition of the longest continuously running 4th of July Parade in New Jersey! All proceeds will go to creating the best possible celebration for 2021 when we can all, hopefully, be together! In order to best organize the parade, we’re asking residents to please register by visiting Additional staging instructions will be provided closer to July 4.

Signs will be available to purchase from June 3, 2020, through June 25, 2020, and need to be returned to Borough Hall by June 30, 2020 to guarantee a place in the parade. Signs will be delivered to residents and businesses in town. Please contact us to arrange pickup if you live outside of Florham Park. You may affix your own previously created sign (for example, a graduation congratulations or a small business promotion) or create your own design on the blank side, but the “Thank You, Heroes” side must be untouched. Additional sign instructions will be available on our website. Please visit for more information and to purchase your sign.

If you want to support the parade, but don’t want to make a sign, we can also display your name or an enlarged photo on a sign for you! Please visit for more details about these choices.
